The WHY question
The key to getting answers to life's challenging problems is asking questions.
One will get amazing answers only if a great question crops up in the mind.
Questions can be asked in a variety of ways. One may ask a question based on any of the seven W s,viz Who,What,Where, When,Why, in what Way, and for Whom.
Like just for an example sake,lets think about some event in history.
One may ask 'What' happened ?? 'When' did it happen ?? 'Where' did it happen ?? 'Who' was responsible and so on so forth.. u get the idea..
Based on the pronoun or the different Ws we use, we get different answers and we can get almost all information on the topic at hand.
But theres one 'W' out of the 7 that is an odd one out.
No points for guessing, its the WHY question..
The Why question is a brilliant question.
For example-
q1.What happened ?
a1.Someone was born.
q2.When did it happen ?
a2.26th august 1987.
q3.Where did it happen ?
a3.Somewhere among the hills.
q4.Who was responsible?
a4.Someone was.
q5.In what way?
a5. blah blah..Not difficult to explain the process.
q6.For whom?
a6.not relevant here.
q7.Why did it happen?
a7.Now thats a tough brilliant question.
Why was some1 born? (this may sound weird to some mediocres)
it has an answer but its not easy to answer.
Another example taken from a hindi song from the film ROCK ON
Aasman hai neela kyon? ( Why is the sky blue?)
Paani geela geela kyon?( Why is the water wet?)
Gol kyon hai zameen? (Why is the world round,and not some other shape?)
some lines skipped
Teen hai ye mausam kyon?(Why are there 3 seasons?)
Chaand do kyon nahin? (Why arent there 2 moons?)
some lines skipped
Duniya mein hai jung kyon?(Why is there battle in this world?)
Behta laal rang kyon?(Why does the red blood flow or Why blood is red?)
Sarhadein hai kyon har kahin? (Why are there obstructions everywhere?)

Science may answer these questions but not all.
Even if all of these are answerable, my point is that these WHY questions are brilliant and challenging questions..it takes years of research and hard work to explain 'why' does a process act this or that way. In some place and some time a person(Faraday) wondered and asked questions to his dad or himself about the lighting in the clouds and that encouraged him to get answers which led to the discovery of fields of charges and electricity.If a man would not have been wanting to know whats going on in the world around him, he is nothing more than an animal.It is useless to live a life without asking great questions and getting those awesome answers.His answers (which may explain the process quite convincingly)then becomes a common knowledge to his children and that is how humans evolve.If Evolution means betterment, im just saying that we understand our world better with time.If we understand our world better,we make it even better.We make our lives better.
Human have a lot of questions unanswered.
Just for an example:-
It struck me in the japanese earthquake incident.
Why do Earthquakes happen? I know its due to shifting of the continental plates.
but why do they have to shift? Why is there so much turbulence inside the earth?
The answers may be found in google or with a very smart-siesmologist.
but what abt.. why would GOD do that to humans ? Why is GOD so mean sometimes when there is
already so much suffering in the world ? Why do we have so much faith and trust in GOD even when he acts this away? We even began to doubt the existence of GOD..
heres a conversation:-
Person 1:- Why is/was my head paining?
Person 2:- Dont ponder with the why of everything...just take the medicine and be done.
Person 1:- I took the medicine yesterday when it pained and ur meds worked. But it started
again today.
Person 2:- Hmm ur headache doesnt seem to b severe..so it must b tension headache.
Person 1:- OK now i can ask Why am i tensed ?
Once he got the answer to his why-tensed question ... he can use that information to avoid getting stressed or tensed the next-time and so can avoid getting headaches .
The Why question isnt just philosophy.It is logic.To do something about a problem is to understand it.To understand everything deeply and clearly we do need to ask the WHY Q at some point of time in life.
The real awesome people are the ones who repititively ask the Why question to themselves.
And believe me when they get the answers .. theres nothing like it in the world :) :)

Woken Up !
just one of those heart-pours !!
It was in the mind
it was the toughest battle
my hands were cut
my legs were tied
my eyes couldnt see
i was in the nightmare....
it was the toughest battle
evrybody was trying to kill me
to hurt me, to rid me off
but they wont kill me
because that would free me..
they wont even touch me
yet they would insult me
they would imply i was worth nothing
it was in the mind
it was the toughest battle
thousand sounds in the ears
making me believe
i am crippled for life
i am a failure and i dont deserve success
i dont deserve love, i dont deserve a smile
i dont deserve the mountain
i dont deserve the beauty
i was sick
but the medicine wasnt yet invented
it was a battle of my life-time
the battle of all battles
but i was destined to live
i was designed to survive,
i wasnt killing
but i vowed for change
thankfully the almighty heard it
he showed me the light
he gave me hope and strength
to rise up, to fight the fight,
he gave me the wisdom of all battles in history,
and he gave me speech of all the inspiring leaders who walked this earth,
that was all i needed, that was the medicine...
it was a slow medicine,often it would disappoint me,
but it worked !!
the lesson was clear and non-delusional ,
i deserved the best
the best in anything i do,
and i could do anything,
there was no-looking back
and there was no one stopping....
the outer voices got fainter and fainter
the firm inner voice swapped its position
the fear was gone,
and was replaced by hope
i had found a purpose,
to win the battle of life,
my hands began to grow again
my legs were untied and more stronger
after so many years i heard a loving voice
she asked me 'how are you'
i said 'better than ever',
i smiled after she smiled,
after so many years i saw the mountain
i saw the beauty
i felt fresh as a newborn child
but i had become more mature,
because i realized
i was having a nightmare
but now i had woken up !!

LIFE as some kind of Fight !!
My personal contemplation about my LIFE as a 23 year old is something like this -:
" Its a perennial fight against forces and powers(physical,mental,spiritual) , there is violence and are reactions-invisible they maybe,there are allies, and strategy, and there is definitely a purpose ..and it is to WIN(whatever it maybe, to win love,luxury,respect,appreciation,influence,resource),there are failures and there are lessons along the climb,and in the end there is death of materiality!! The number of JOY life brings 2 urself and others is the measure of life's worth .It is the death of LIFE but not of the self-propelling consciousness,the immaterial and invisible(u may call it the universal and theoretical laws of physics,or the faith,or the higher intelligence ) that has travelled through time since the inception of universe across all dimensions of space and will travel through eternity.This very form of invisible, holds the possiblity of having answers to a higher PURPOSE of all LIFE on Earth."
note 2 myself-- I hope this post remains relevant in the future when i look back and hence contribute to the ever widening thought,action and more importantly the "count of joy" ! (:=)
P.S- This interpretation of life is what it is I seem to find and relate to in every life-story I experience ,from my own life,hear from others,read/see and imagine !!
This also contributes to the quenching of thirst in me to find a meaning attached to Life.
All this ,without denying that one can have a meaningful and successful life without a sense of PURPOSE.

The connecting thought !
The connecting thought of art,change and improvement !!!
Some great thinker has said, "If the painting exist, there must exist an artist !!!".
The world may be a painting and there may exist a creator. Or a totally different but more obvious belief is of constant evolutionary change. I mean there has been a continuous natural evolution of everything in this world ever since it has formed from what is supposed to be an infinitely tiny speck.
Well, that is what has been a central thought of our existence. But these thoughts hardly matter to us in our lives!!!. I mean why should we care about 'why we exist' and write blogs about it. Well, there is a connection. This idea is definitely not purposeless!!
The ideas of the world as an art or evolution for that matter are a great source of inspiration. This idea is a driving force to create things that is beautiful and continuously striving for excellence. Firstly, In simple terms, The idea of a world as a beautiful art of GOD, inspires us to work and put effort in beautiful creations in our lives. In example, the creation of an IPOD or MAC by Steve jobs and co. Its not just a business product, its an art. I mean its beautiful, it is something that Apple is obsessed with. (Read Steve Jobs and you will get an idea of the importance of art in his life).
Secondly, the concept of continuous improvement. Well, Darwin had his natural evolution belief, that was relevant to animals,plants and like. It was very influential not just in Biology.It has a practical application in our lives.
I mean i think of my life as a process. It is continuously evolving. It is rejecting some notions, some mistakes, adoring some new cool stuffs making us better on the way. I am building on my previous experiences. I am adding new things to it. Its similar to the natural process of selecting the best thing. Improvement is an obvious thing in our lives. I'll give you an example. If i want to say something to another person, what options did i choose as a kid, or as a Early man. Well, no options at all, until i learn a language!!. When i grew up slowly slowly,each day, adding every single word in my vocabulary,as a teenager I now can phone a friend or I can write a poem for her. Wow, what an improvement. I felt so good on my first phone call to my girl friend!!Each day i better myself, i become more mature. I can now speak my heart out to her, i have words for it. And its a beautiful feeling, when she connects with it. But its a process. You learn that everything is not so beautiful. Some people just don't understand you. You then learn to shy away from them. You have more skills under your belt and you learn to fight as well.
It's a continuous and never-ending change.
Change in the negative direction can be disastrous,but an improvement for betterment is beautiful. Its like adding a tint of red over yellow to make it green !! Isn't it??

Change ver. 2.0....introspection
As I have decided to change myself, I should do some soul searching to know what changes are required to be implemented and what better place than blogger.
I am introspecting..wow ! that's a change. I am blogging , giving some time to myself. I am being less with friends,though they remain lovable all the more.
There is always a scope for improvement ,so I have decided to evolve for the better. I shall not fall into prey of negativity and failures. I will try to look the best in people, learn from them and work hard. I should set my goals straight so that I remain totally focused. I shall read good books, listen good music and watch well meaning ,inspiring movies.
Specifically, I need to change my habits,concentrate on studies and recover from the losses incurred. I need to stay away from bad people. I shall not fail to heed towards positivity. I shall not forget GOD as it is he from whom, I will derive strength and courage.

CHANGE
YES I CAN!!
Be it the elections of America at the time of unforeseen economic downturn after the great depression or the ever widening environmental crisis, be it the two wars that the country is spending on or an increasing pressure of the world to improve its leadership obligations, be it all the harsh winds of the sea that confronts a sailor or tough times filled with hardships , we all need a change..
Change is a constant. We need to change with time or time contributes to change us. Change is natural. Man is constantly changing from a small baby to an adolescent, from adulthood to manhood. The night changes to a beginning of a bright sunshine. Today becomes yesterday and we change for the sake of tomorrow.
Those who don't change themselves keep brooding over their past achievement, grossly underestimating the present. Previous achievements give rise to new problems and an added responsibility and expectations. Change is the only way towards improvement,towards facing new challenges.
Hence,I have decided to change myself. Change for the better. From this day I will walk on the path of self improvement ,on the path of a better living , search for better people around me , relish the delicacy of good people's work and develop a
feeling of respect.
God, show me the light and i shall traverse!!!
